Today I went to visit Bowdoin College w/ Alyssa and my dad. My dad went to Bowdoin back in the day, so OF COURSE he wanted me to check it out.
It was really nice. All the buildings were old and pretty. There were lotsss of kids on the tour from all over the country. Our tour guide was really nice and showed us all around campus. My dad kept having "flashbacks"...it was...cute? Saw lots of hot guys there haha. Kind of random...but Bowdoin has a "horny boys" club! What the hell? hahaha..I didn't know you could have a club designated to hang out and be horny...ANYWAYSSSS haha
After the tour we looked around some more and my dad rambled on about what it was like when he went there. We went out to lunch then went shopping in Freeport. Today was the second day of track practice and the 1st day of the trimester two exams, but I prefer not to get into that. (AP History= death) Anyways, track was good. I ran with all the freshman...haha hawt. I like it so far (I've never done spring track @ the highschool). It's pretty mucht he same as winter track and cross country as far as the workouts. I'm used ot it by now haha. The best hthing I like about it is that I get abs (haha) and get all toned, and it feels SO GOOD after you finish running for 40 minutes. I dunno what anyone else thinks, but it's pretty much the best sport to get in shape. It just is. I love it.

I went to Boston this morning to visit Simmons College. I had a private tour w/ my dad and one other girl and her mom for 10:00. There was even this sign when I walked into the Main building that was like, "Welcome, Haley and Danielle" haha made me feel special even though they do that for everyone taking the tour.
So this freshman named Katie took us around campus and through all the buildings and showed us her dorm room and stuff. Everything was so colorful and clean there. The quad (park area) in between all the dorm bulidings was gorgeous. She pretty much explained all the educational aspects of Simmons to us. Supposedly math and the sciences are their strongest departments, which is good cause I kinda wanna go into nutrition. But I dunno.
Anyways, she was really nice and we got to ask a lot of questions. OF COURSE, I asked about the Bosotn social life haha. She said even though its an all girls school, guys are EVERYWHERE, and told us its great because during classes, guys aren't a distraction, but out of class, they're all over the city. That made me happy haha. Also, um, Fenway Park is RIGHT down the frikken street! Another huge plus. The T stations are also everywhere, so it wouldn't be hard to get around the city or anything.
The campus was very small (and so is the school...maybe 2,000 students), but it was really pretty and modern. They also have really nice professors. I sat in for a couple minutes on a biology lecture, and the teacher impressed me more in two minutes than most of the teachers at Winnacunnet could do EVER. haha.
Overall, the tour was great. I didn't see many downsides to the school at all, and they have just about everything I'm looking for. It's awesome. But, of course, I have many more schools to look at before I decide. I just love Boston so much.
So I just got home and went with Lexi down to the beach w/ her puppies. AWWW they're so cute. It was fun...it's so nice out, too :)

Yesterdayyy night I went over Kate-o's house w/ lex n marie. It was lots of fun, as always. We stocked up on pizza, ice cream, 25 cent soda, and of course Magic Stars! haha. We were wicked tired, and decided to skip the midnigt sledding and stay in and watch movies. HI, "Carrie" is one of the sketchiest horror films I've ever seen in my life. Wow. I'm surprised I didn't wake up and start screaming cause of all my nightmares.
Anyways, in the morning we finally went sledding on "the hill". hehe. That was good times. Especially when we built our snowforts. "Our team name is Mount Vesuvious, a.k.a kate and lexi SUCK!"- Marie haha. Gotta love it.
Anyways, it was a fun 24 hours. And I dont think I will ever get "fast car" out of my head ever again. haha...good song.

Today was horrible. I rarely have "bad days", but this one tops the charts. I think I wanted to break down and just leave class maybe 5 times during school and had to try so hard to hold myself back. I don't think anyone particularily noticed, either, but hey, I'm used to it by now. The only way I made it through the day was by a few of my friends who, without even knowing it, made me smile and created conversation to keep me from losing it. Thanks.
I just want this week to be over so I can lighten up a little. TGTF (thank god tomorrow's friday) |

Last night was fun. I started running for the first time in awhile to get in shape for track. Yeah, but that definitely wasn't the fun part haha. Umm, after that I went out with Lexi, Mira, and Kate to Durham to go to the D-HOP (Durham house of pizza...yeah haha) and we met up with Lexi's friend Michelle who goes to UNH. I ate so much food it was crazy. Kate n Lex were staring at my plate like "WHOAA ur an animal"
After we drove back to Lexi's and watchted Real World re-runs. "Do you love her?" "I dooooo" "Dude, did you fart?" "I diiiiid" hahaha. We got bored and called Andy n Marie and they came over to watch the video we all made. ANDDD OFNC REUNITES AGAIN! :) Yeah, that was pretty funny. Idk, we all got tired and just went home from there.
K now I'm gunna go try to find something to do, since everyone is being boring and dull right now. |

I <3 snow days. I did nothing...watched Wicker Park (good movie) and ate food and painted my nails and took cat naps. It's therapeutic. Gotta love it.

The first few days of vacation didn't count cause of the dumb paper, but after that I went up north with Marie, my mom, my dad, Jeff, and his friend Andrew. It was so much fun.
I drove up Thursday morning w/ marie, jeff, and andrew in the car. It was the longest drive I had ever done by myself pretty much. It was fun though, cause we had some killer music. We went to lunch and then went skating at this place called Nestlenook in Jackson. We all had a good time. It was really pretty. That night we went to an Italian restaurant called Bellinis. HI, SO GOOD!
Friday morning we went to checked out the pools and stuff. There was an indoor pool, a 90-95 degree outdoor pool, jacuzzis both inside and out, and a steam room haha. In the afternoon we all went skiing at Cranmore. It was fun. LONG lines though for the double chair; the only chair Marie and I would go on cause we LOVE those green circle trails hahaha. That night we chilled at the pools again. Of course :) Gotta love those people we met in the hot tub, huh Marie? haha. goofy people.
Saturday morning Marie and I went shopping! Fun fun. We met up with Mirabella after and got lunch! We were gunna go tubing, but the lines were rediculous so Mira came back to our condo and we went down to the pools. It was a lot of fun. especially sitting in the outdoor hot tub with 50 year old men talking about how much we hate certain people lol. WOO. We came back to the room and ate food and then Mira left. Marie and I watched Old School and then fell asleep.
This morning we went to Zeb's general store, a cute little store in downtown North Conway, then went out to breakfast and drove home. :( So sad. I left out a lot of details, but it was so much fun. Ew, Hampton is gross.
Anyway, gotta look over my paper for history and get organized for school tomorrow. Not cool whatsoever. |
